![]() You can also finish the game with only one mastery, which will net you an achievement for doing so. The combination of both defines your class (for example Nature + Warfare makes you a Champion). Reaching level 8 will allow you to pick a second one. Upon reaching level 2 you'll have to pick 1 of the 9 (10 with the Ragnarok DLC) masteries. Unlike most other games of the genre, you aren't forced to pick a class you build one yourself by choosing your masteries. All you have to do is make an informed decision about your class and your masteries. The game is pretty easy (at least on Normal) and the final boss (I won't spoil you anything) is a pushover the biggest challenge will come from some optional bosses. For exemple, you have unlimited arrows to save you the time to refill, as the game is purely fight/loot focused. ![]() ![]() The game is all about the loot you gather and the skills you pick for your character. Harder difficulties are, indeed, harder, but your character becomes stronger way more significantly than the game becomes hard, at least when you pick a good Mastery (we'll cover that in the next section), so you may not even notice the difficulty spike.Almost all of the Masteries start to shine on harder difficulties, so make an informed choice when it comes to picking a Mastery on Normal that will define a considerable amount of fun you'll have when running through it.The situation changes for the better on Epic and even more so on Legendary. There's not much fun to have in running through the game looking like a hobo. Most of the gear drops you'll come across will be trash and it will look like trash, too. That's the main reason why people drop the game after beating it on Normal or even before that. Equipment and items that you will find on Normal are exceptionally cringy. When you first beat the game on Normal you might begin to wonder how much of a masochist one should be to do it all over again on harder difficulties and that's a logical thought process, but actually the real fun starts on Epic and let me tell you why: The game can be considered truly finished when you beat it on Legendary. You will have to beat the game on Normal to unlock Epic and then beat it on Epic to unlock Legendary. When creating your first character you will be limited to Normal difficulty only. There are 3 difficulty levels: Normal, Epic and Legendary. Hopefully you find this part helpful, and as I find proper builds and guides then I can add them in.The game is broken down to 4 acts (5 with the Ragnarok DLC). Runemaster mastery has with it a lot of very strong combos with the other masteries, although there are still too few dedicated builds out there, so I have put all the info into one section. I will try to add as many more as I can find to help make it easier to create the character you want.Įdit 23 February 2018: Have added as much info on all the various Runemaster builds as I could find, they are limited at the moment but hopefully it all helps.Įdit 10 March 2018: Linked a new players guide with good builds for the Warden and Haruspex.Įdit 7 December 2021: Begun trawling the net, forums and the game itself for new builds involving the latest Mastery Neidan added in by the fourth expansion Eternal Embers released 4 December This will increase the number of builds for the game, and I will update this guide as the information becomes available :)Įdit 19 November 2017: added in various links to the guides in case video guides aren't up your alley. Again, these builds are all still viable despite the changes and updates made to the anniversary edition. The class builds however are still from the titanquest forums back in 2006. Each video is around 5-7 minutes long and the masteries, items and abilities are explained in each one.Īll videos were made by YouTuber Matthew Ashworth, and all the credit for the videos goes to him. Due to the original titanquest forum website being strangely blocked by everyone's anti-virus software, the guide has been changed to use very well made videos on class builds.
